They received a domestic violence complaint and investigated. When they got to the scene, they found an eyewitness who led them to the deceased.
The deceased man was lying in a pool of blood and the eyewitness told the police that there had been a heated argument between the man and his son.
According to the witness, the son had attacked his father and stabbed him in his upper body with a sharp instrument. The father had multiple stab wounds and was certified dead on the scene.
“The motive for the father and son’s argument is still being investigated,” said Sibiya.
He added that the son handed himself over to the police and has been charged with murder. He is expected to appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon.
