Pure Health celebrates its first decade
The first Pure kids Wellness Day to be hosted was a success.
The Pure Health Centre hosted a Pure Kids Wellness Day and celebrated their 10th anniversary in Krugersdorp on Saturday, 10 March.
The first Pure Kids Wellness Day to be hosted with the support of the community members was a great success.
Community members from various parts of West Rand attended the event, and parents came in numbers to learn about the health of their children and how to take care of their young ones.
The staff of the Pure Health Centre was available in their different roles to assist attendees by providing all the information they needed.
Bianca De Canha Sayers, a homeopath from the Pure Health Centre, said, “We decided to host a Kids Wellness Day to help the community learn more about the things that make children grow and be strong. As a team, we work together to make sure that our whole community is living healthier, and by ensuring healthy living for the children we are actually making a healthy community for the future.
“We have also realised that there are no guidelines on how to raise a child or what is good for a child, and sometimes it is a lonely road for parents, so we decided to close that gap as practitioners by inviting parents with their children to learn from the experts at Pure Health and the people affiliated with the organisation.”
She also added that their focus is not on children only, but on adults as well and they make sure that they cater for all patients equally, to promote healthy living for everyone.
Karen Bradford, a psychologist at the centre said, “Parents face a lot of stress when it comes to balancing their lives and taking responsibility for their children, and sometimes they are so busy that they don’t realise that children also face pressures from different things, like school work. The advice I always give to parents is to follow up with their children’s state of mind and consult with the professional practitioners to get some guidelines.”
Louis de la Hunt van der Merwe, a resident of Krugersdorp, said, “I found this event very helpful. There were many things I did not know about healthy living, but today I got answers to my questions about how to live a balanced lifestyle. Not only that, though – my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
