Hekpoort police members attend church for personal and spiritual growth

Hekpoort Police members recently attended a church ceremony to gain new perspective and feel refreshed for the difficult work that lies ahead.

Hekpoort Police’s station commander, communications officer and several other station staff members attended a church service at Damhoek Christian Church on Sunday, 24 March.

This served as a great morale boost for the officers who attended, and helped them gain a fresh perspective on both their work and personal lives.

Pastor Nesogole based his sermon on 2 Chronicles 7:14, which focuses on the forgiving nature of God and the importance of praying and seeking Him out.

“The church service went well and the members felt more welcome and praised with the congregation,” said the communications officer, Constable Gloria Maswanganye.

On the day, police officers also held a meeting with Chaplain Maluleke, pastors and church representatives to talk about the importance and meaning of their Divine Intervention project.

The meeting reportedly went well and it was agreed that a similar meeting must be held once a month.
