Serious road accident brings down a concrete light pole

Five people were involved in a serious car accident that took place at about 9.30pm on Sunday, 24 March. One of them sadly passed away, while the others sustained moderate injuries.

Reports from the scene, near the corner of the R28 and Paardekraal Avenue, indicate that the driver lost control of the car, which then rolled.

The car also crashed into a concrete light pole, knocking it down.

Netcare 911 responded, treated the injured on the scene and transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.

All other necessary authorities were also on the scene.
