There is something for everyone happening this weekend!

Make note of the following:

Husky Heaven Rescue Day

The Husky Heaven Rescue Centre is celebrating its 5th birthday on Saturday, 30 March. Come and spend the day with the most playful and fluffy pooches around. DJ Paul Angel and singer Dany will entertain visitors during the day, and there will be plenty of stalls, food and a water slide. The event starts at 10am. Entrance will be R50 for adults, R30 for kids with one can of Boss dog food.

Miniature Showcase

Miniaturists from all over Gauteng will gather at the Parkhurst Recreation Centre on Saturday, 30 March, to share their love of miniatures with one another and show off their prized collections. The showcase is set to start at 9am and ends at 12.30pm. Miniatures, dollhouse accessories and supplies will be available. There will be no entrance fee, but donations to Cerebral Palsy would be welcomed. For more information contact Sue at 011 787 2340

The Wedding Expo

If you’re planning you wedding or thinking of popping the question, then the Wedding Expo at Hyde Park Corner from 30 to 31 March should definitely be on you must-visit list. Get the ‘Bride Tribe’ together and kick off the adventure of finding everything you need, all at one venue – from picture-perfect stationery and fabulous flowers to take-his-breath-away wedding gowns and jewellery. Entrance at the door or online will be R120 for adults and R30 for children under 10.

West Side Craft and Food Market

Enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts, delicious food, craft beer and all kinds of handmade and other products on Sunday, 31 March at the West Side Market at the Ramkiki Country Restaurant. The market will be open from 10am to 3pm, and the whole family and your pets are welcome. Free entrance.

Diamant 4 Boeremusiekfees

Kom geniet ‘n verskeidenheid tradisionele boeremusiek by Diamant 4 Landgoed in Muldersdrift op Saterdag, 6 April van 10am tot middernag. Besoekers kan hul eie verversings en drinkgoed bring, en braaigeriewe sal beskikbaar wees. Daar sal ook kos te koop wees, en ‘n kontantkroeg sal beskikbaar wees. Kaartjies is R80 per persoon, en vir kinders onder 12 is dit gratis. Drag is semiformeel, dus geen kortbroeke en plakkies nie. Verskeie orkeste gaan optree en daar is talle pryse te wen.
