Muldersdrift man killed on arrival at home

A woman from Muldersdrift told the police how her husband was shot when they arrived home.

The Muldersdrift Police are appealing to the community to assist them in finding a murderer.

The wife of the 45-year-old victim told the police that they arrived at their home in Rietfontein at about 7.10pm on Friday night after visiting the mall.

Her husband parked their car outside the house and according to the woman, when she got out of the car she heard two gunshots.

She screamed and ran to get help, and when she and her neighbour returned they found her husband lying on the ground.

The Department of Health Services was contacted and the victim was unfortunately pronounced dead on the scene.

According to Constable Slindile Ntuli, Corporate Communications officer at the Muldersdrift Police, the motive for the murder is unknown at this stage and the matter is under intense investigation.
