Cheap market to benefit the community
"This initiative will have a positive impact on the community, because the economy of Krugersdorp will be boosted by the local businesses and brands being supported at the event."
The first CheapTown Market presented by Western Street Culture at the end of March in Munsieville was a way of strengthening the economy of the people living in the area.
The event was hosted and organised by African Rhythm Production, with the aim being to uplift and promote local businesses and brands by giving them the opportunity to participate in the market by having fun and creating revenue for themselves at the same time.
People were entertained with good music by the African Rhythm Band, which brought a warm vibe to the market with its performance.

Vusi Mathule, a recruiter of artists, local businesses and brands of CheapTown Market said, “We have achieved our goal of making this, our first event, happen, and our exhibitors managed to sell their goods. At the same time, this event has helped the people of Kagiso to showcase their talents – and that was our goal”.
Vusi believes this initiative is a way of strengthening the economy of the local people.
“This initiative will have a positive impact on the community, because the economy of Krugersdorp will be boosted by the local businesses and brands being supported at the event,” said Vusi.
He added that their plan is to have the events of this kind every last Sunday of every month, and they are hoping to see more brands and businesses coming on board to showcase their merchandise.
Vusi also expressed his appreciation for the loyal supporters who had made the event happen.
