Man shot in his garage at home

A Muldersdrift man was shot at home recently. The suspects fled the scene and the police are asking the community to help.

The Muldersdrift Police are on the lookout for a couple of attempted murderers and would like the community’s assistance.

According to a statement from Constable Slindile Ntuli, Corporate Communications officer for the Muldersdrift Police, a 32-year-old man and his wife, who live on an estate, were working in their garage with the door half open, on Thursday at about 8.20pm.

The statement said that a hatchback pulled up in front of the garage and two people armed with firearms got out of the vehicle and started shooting at the man.

They shot him in the upper body and then fled the scene. The man was taken to hospital. The motive for the shooting is not known yet.
“The matter is still under investigation and the suspects are at large,” said Ntuli.
