Boyfriend shot dead in house robbery

Three robbers demanded cash and even after getting it they shot a man.

A man has paid with his life when a robbery turned fatal on 13 April.

“Kagiso Police are searching for three suspects who shot a man during a house robbery at Tshepisong West about 2am,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police.

In a statement sent to the News he said the suspects, one armed with a firearm, allegedly entered the a woman’s house and demanded cash.

They assaulted the woman’s boyfriend and she ended up giving them cash. The armed intruder then fired shots at her boyfriend before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his leg and stomach, and was rushed to hospital where he died on arrival.

“Kagiso Police are searching for three suspects and are appealing to anyone who might assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators to call Kagiso Police on 011 696 9000 or 011 696 9059 or 011 696 9065 or 011 696 9067 or the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111,” said Sibiya.
