According to a statement from Captain Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police, the police spotted the suspicious men at the West Rand railway station.
They proceeded to search them and found two laptops, 57 rounds of ammunition, groceries, 10 pairs of shoes, electrical appliances, clothes and toiletries in their possession.
According to Sebonyane, when the men were asked where the items came from, they could not provide a clear explanation of how the items came to be in their possession.
The police arrested the three men aged between 22 and 32 years and they are expected to appear before the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
“The station commander, Brigadier Ngwako Mashao, applauded the members for a job well done,” the statement read.
