Following concerns about criminal activity taking place at the Pinehaven intersection (between the N14 and Hendrik Potgieter Road), BCI Security recently conducted a visibility standoff all by itself.

The company’s fleet queued in convoy style, flashing white lights at the intersection. While monitoring the intersection, the K9 members did a couple of patrols and recovered a quantity of dagga hidden in a steel pipe.

The dagga was handed over to the police, according to Rudi Holtzhausen, the BCI Security operations manager.

“We urge the general public to be vigilant when approaching this intersection and to report any suspicious people and vehicles to BCI Security on 060 777 3773 or the Police on 10111,” he said.
