Seventeen arrests made by Muldersdrift Police during operation

Muldersdrift Police and other security personnel conducted a successful rural safety operation recently.

The Muldersdrift Police, Muldersdrift Community Policing Forum (CPF) members, security personnel and patrollers all participated in an informal rural safety operation in Muldersdrift last week.

According to a statement from the Muldersdrift Police spokesperson, Constable Slindile Ntuli, the operation was held on 4 July and they arrested 17 people.

“Three suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and one suspect was also arrested for possession of stolen property,” said the statement.

Furthermore, two illegal shebeens were shut down and 13 illegal immigrants were arrested.

The group also confiscated three dogs and took them to the SPCA because of the poor conditions they were kept in.

According to the statement, Lieutenant Colonel Mankontsho Setlhare thanked the CPF members, security members and patrollers for participating in the operation.
