Muldersdrift family rushed to hospital

A break-in in the early hours of this morning led to all three family members being rushed to hospital.

A family of three was attacked in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, 16 July, and all ended up in hospital.

According to a statement from the Muldersdrift Polices spokesperson, Constable Slindile Ntuli, the family was asleep at approximately 3.50am in Lammermoor, Muldersdrift.

The 46-year-old man, his 45-year-old wife and their 16-year-old son were woken up by the sound of dogs barking.

“Unfortunately the suspect was already in the house,” said the statement.

The person took a television and then shot the dad in the upper body and his son in the back. The man’s wife was bitten on her left hand and back by one of their dogs.

All three family members were taken to hospital for medical attention.
