
The News has received reports of another young woman’s mutilated body being found last weekend.
A source close to the News reported that a 18-year-old girl went missing on Saturday and on Sunday her body was found in an open field next to a municipal yard in Chamdor.
This brings the total number of mutilated bodies found since January to three.

The 18-year-old was allegedly found with her eyes and a part of her brain missing. The girl, a learner from a local Kagiso school was allegedly from the Soul City informal settlement.
Even more shocking was that the reports indicate that only a few metres away from the girl’s mutilated body was an open mine shaft where human bones and a purple dress were allegedly also found.

Earlier in July, the News reported about a woman in Kagiso who was found next to a toilet. She had been stabbed to death and her nipples had been removed.
In February, chaos broke out in Soul City after a woman’s body was found, with her chin, upper right arm and neck slashed and her ears removed. Her live-in lover was allegedly arrested for her murder, but residents were left angry and blamed illegal miners for the murders and violence ensued.
The News has reached out to the local police to confirm the reports and to get feedback, but they have not responded yet.
