[UPDATE] Young man loses his life in this morning’s Robert Broom Drive crash
The driver of one vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries and a young motorcyclist lost his life early this morning.
An accident on the corner of Robert Broom Drive and Bell Street in Rangeview this morning has shaken the community.
According to a statement by ER24’s corporate communications officers, Russel Meiring, one man died and a woman was injured in the accident that occurred between two cars and a motorcycle.

“ER24 medics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene at 7.13am to find the three vehicles parked in the road,” the statement said.
When paramedics inspected the wreckage they found the body of a man, believed to be the bike rider, lying underneath one of the vehicles.
“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead by another private service,” said the statement.
A woman, who was driving one of the two cars, was transported to a nearby hospital after being treated for minor injuries on scene.
Road users was redirected to accommodate the morning traffic and get the scene cleared up.
The Krugersdorp Fire Department, local police, Sector 7 Community Policing Forum and Traffic Department were all on scene.
For the past few hours, community members have been posting condolence messages on Facebook as the deceased young man, who is believed to be in his early 20s, was part of a well-known biker club.
