Shimmying the cold away
The Pure Health Centre recently hosted its second Zumba charity event and was able to donate a large quantity of pet food to the 9th Day Animal Shelter as a result.
For the second year, the team from the Pure Health Centre, in conjunction with B to Z Dance Fitness, hosted a free Zumba class – all in the name of charity. All they asked for was a pet food donation for the 9th Day Animal Shelter.
The event also formed part of their 67 minutes for Mandela Day initiative this year.
They wanted to do something for the animals in the community as most charity events focus on people.
Their efforts paid off, and on the cold, windy Saturday morning they collected more than 700kg of pet food. One of the bigger contributors was Patrick Comley-White, from Action Ford in Krugersdorp.
