Models strutting their stuff for Cansa

Silverstar Casino was a hive of beauty on 3 August ,when it was again time for the Mr and Miss Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) pageant.

But before this prestigious event even started, the crowd was treated to a performance from Valeska Muller.

The stage was set beautifully to fit in with the CANSA theme and colours, and all funds collected on the day were donated to CANSA.

CANSA is an organisation whose purpose is to lead the fight against cancer in South Africa. They try to enable research, educate the public about cancer-related issues and provide support to the people and their families who are affected by cancer.

According to their website, cancer kills more people on a yearly basis than Aids, tuberculosis and malaria combined.

The Mr and Miss CANSA pageant was divided into different categories, with some having separate novice and professional divisions.

The day started off with the little ones, the Miss Tiny category that was for three to five year olds. The categories also included Miss Pre-Teen, Miss Teen, Miss Junior, Mr Junior and then Mr Senior and Miss CANSA.

The 2019 Miss CANSA Novice is Nonhlanhla Linda, Miss CANSA Pro is Karmia Postma and Mr CANSA Senior is Roan Gonsalves.
