The West Rand Police successfully recovered a hijacked trailer and its cargo in Chamdor recently.
After following information, the West Rand Police were led to a warehouse in Chamdor near Kagiso on 4 September. There they recovered a trailer that had been hijacked in Brakpan during August.
When they entered the warehouse at about 8am, they found three males unloading boxes of sweets from the trailer and putting them in a storeroom.

“According to the tracker company, the horse was recovered the day it was hijacked, without its trailer and cargo,” said a statement from the Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Captain Ramond Sebonyane.
The three men, aged 23, 24 and 41, were all arrested for possession of the hijacked trailer and stolen goods.
The District Commissioner, Major General PF Kekana, has applauded the members for their swift response which resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspects, and appreciated the tracking company for working closely with the police.
“Organised criminal activities whereby people take advantage of the current unrest situation will be dealt with accordingly,” warned Kekana.
