Green and gold take over town!

The Dros restaurant recently went all out for the first match of the Rugby World Cup and fans flocked to support their boys.

There is a saying that goes ‘Failure is the road to success’. Well, even though the Springboks lost their first game in the Rugby World Cup, that did not deter fans who gathered at the Dros at Heritage Square in Krugersdorp North.

A sea of green and gold was gathered at this popular restaurant, on the corner of De Wet and Cecil Knight Streets, from 10am in the morning. The road in front of the restaurant was closed and filled with tables. A stage was set up, complete with a big screen and live entertainment for the supporters.

Riaan, Kyle and Chris Roodt made supporting the Boks a family affair.

There were loads of prizes handed out throughout the morning, and even a best-dressed Springbok supporter competition.

When the match started, everyone took their seats and although it was a hot day, the focus was on the team giving it their all.

The lovely Latetia Smit and Angelique Kleynhans were joined by Johan Wessels.

The Boks did not win the match in the end, but the crowd still celebrated a well-played match.

The whole family showed up.
