Homeless Imbizo to be held on World Homeless Day

Krugersdorp will join the rest of the world on World Homeless Day, 10 October to focus on the vulnerable members of our communities.

People around the world will be focusing on the homeless this coming Thursday, when it will be World Homeless Day.

All service providers for the Krugersdorp homeless and other interested parties are invited to attend the Homeless Imbizo at the Tower of Life shelter.

The purpose of the Imbizo is not only to discuss the way the vulnerable members of our community can be assisted in the future, but also create a database of all the services provided in the area.

According to the World Homeless Day website there are plenty of ways to bring focus to homelessness and to help.

Some of these are by educating people about homelessness, celebrating and supporting good work done in the community, donating to local service providers, volunteering and hosting fundraisers.

Or you can just attend the Homeless Imbizo. It will be held from 10am at the men’s shelter at 7 to 11 Church Street and corner of Rissik Street.
