Four houses robbed in Steynsvlei

Five suspects went on a crime spree in the early hours of Sunday morning, robbing four different houses on the same plot.

The Muldersdrift Police are asking the community to please come forward with any information they might have after four houses were robbed in Steynsvlei on Sunday evening, 20 October.

According to a statement from Muldersdrift Police’s spokesperson, Constable Slindile Ntuli, five people armed with a revolver robbed four houses on the same plot in Steynslvei between 1.30am and 2am.

The suspects entered four different rooms, and robbed the victims of a total of seven cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.

“In one of the rooms, the suspects fired two shots into the door when a man refused to open it. The bullets just missed his wife who was standing behind the door,” the statement explained.

As the wooden door split however, her right hand sustained an injury.

The suspects are still at large and the police are asking anyone with information that could lead to their arrest to please contact them on 011 952 4600, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
