On Sunday evening, 20 October, a fight that broke out at a local pub took an ugly turn, allegedly leading to the death of a man in his home later.
The News has been contacted by more than one local resident with what appears to be CCTV footage of the fight. The pub owner has since confirmed that the footage was taken at the time and location of the incident. Although the faces of those depicted are unrecognisable, the now fight was captured on video. Police confirmed that a copy of the footage was provided to them as well.

Since Sunday, many locals have taken to social media with their accounts and speculations of what may have happened.
The News has reached out to the police, who have confirmed that an inquest docket has been opened. A post mortem has been conducted and the outcome should confirm the victim’s cause of death.
The police suspect that the fight may have resulted in the man’s death. They confirmed having brought one person in for questioning and are looking for other suspects.
Community members are requested to assist police with their investigations by coming forth if they have any information related to the incident.
