[WATCH] There is still time to sign important water petition

Residents are encouraged to come out on Saturday, before the Rugby World Cup final, to sign this important petition.

Ward councillor, Dr Andries Eksteen, has decided to give the residents of Krugersdorp another opportunity to sign the important water petition he has drawn up.

The News recently met with Dr Eksteen at the Kenmare reservoir, where he explained what needs to be done in order to adequately address Mogale’s water crisis. The News, through it’s Caxton Cares initiative, would like to help Dr Eksteen highlight this situation by pledging our support.

The first opportunity for signatures was on 26 October and according to Eksteen, the response was great, but more can still come forward and sign.

Even though Saturday, 2 November is the final of the Rugby World Cup, Eskteen encourages residents to quickly come out to the Verandah in Kenmare from 9am to put pen to paper in support of this important petition.

“Bring everybody – your neighbours, your friends and family. We need you. Help me to help you and let’s get this water crisis under control … or it will be too late.”
