Mogale Mayor helps needy family

The Matome family is one of three needy and indigent families that were identified by the ward committee as part of their organisational and community work.

Mogale City’s Executive Mayor Naga Patrick Lipudi is at it again, this time going beyond the call of duty, and has embarked on community and charity work by painting the house of one of the needy families in Kagiso 1.

Mayor Lipudi, accompanied by Ward 15 councillor, Saki Mangole, and his Ward Committee members, councillor Tshepo Nzwane of Ward 12 in Kagiso Central, and various concerned community members painted and cleaned the three-roomed house in less than four hours.

The Executive Mayor’s Personal Assistant, Brenda Mabote, also joined the painting team. Photo: Sipho None.

Rezmad Build Company provided the cleaning and painting materials, while the learners and Face of Devotion Finalists Mamalo and Paballo Mehlape joined the team.

According to Councillor Mangole, the Matome family is one of three needy and indigent families that were identified by the ward committee as part of their organisational and community work.

“We have identified these families through our ward committees and we really want to show our people that we are a caring government,” Lipudi said.

“We are doing this is part of our organisational and municipality work and mandate which says ‘we need to change the lives of our people for the better’. The other two families will be attended to as well, and we will continue to what is in the best interests of our people.”

The two other families that will soon be visited by the team are the Shais, where the head of the family is a centenarian and the Lebeko family, which is three houses away from the Matomes.
