Kagiso Police were called out to Soul City informal settlement near Tudor Road where the body of a man, believed to be a Sotho foreign national, had been found. His death seems to be related to illegal-mining activities.
On Saturday, 23 November at about 6.30pm, the Kagiso Police sector members received a complaint of murder. At the scene they found the body of a 37-year-old man lying next to the road. He was bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head. Police found 12 used cartridges next to him.

Kagiso Police have opened a murder docket and are appealing to members of the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
