According to the statement, while Sergeant Mametja and Constable Motlhabi from the Magaliesburg Police were conducting stops and searches on the R24 Rustenburg Road, two men who seemed suspicious walked past them. The officers stopped and searched them, and found the drugs with an estimated value of R4 000.

Lieutenant Colonel Joyce Julla, the Magaliesburg Police station commander applauded the members for arresting the suspects.

“Drugs are contributing toward socioeconomic factors and are affecting our communities in a negative way, especially the youth,” said the statement, adding that anyone found on the wrong side of the law will be arrested to minimise criminal activities in the Magaliesburg communities.
