One person lost her life in Sunday’s N14 accident

A statement from ER24 said that one person died and five others were injured when a bakkie rolled on the N14.

One woman sadly lost her life and five others were injured when a bakkie rolled on the N14 in Muldersdrift.

In a statement received from ER24’s, Russel Meiring, he said that the ambulance service’s paramedics and other emergency services responded to the scene at 3.16pm on Sunday, 1 December and found the bakkie on the side of the road.

“Local authorities began to divert traffic while paramedics assessed the victims, finding that two women had sustained numerous injuries and were in a critical state. Four others had sustained moderate to serious injuries,” he explained in the statement.

The paramedics treated the patients on scene and provided the critically and seriously injured patients with advanced life support interventions.

Two of the critically injured were airlifted to hospital by a private medical helicopter after receiving treatment. The other victims were transported to hospital by ambulance for further care.

Sadly when the critically injured women arrived at the hospital she succumbed to her injuries.

“The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring said.
