Officers also conducted a road block on Kagiso Avenue.
Six people were arrested for possession of dagga during the operations. Two more were arrested for possession of drugs, four for drunken driving, three for possession of dangerous weapons and one person for theft. Other arrests included undocumented people and malicious damage to property.

According to the statement, Major General Mkhwanazi thanked everyone who dedicated their time to ensuring the safety of residents and encouraged the police members not to give up until Kagiso becomes one of the safest areas on the West Rand.
“You must take charge and make everyone feel your presence. Do not allow criminals to intimidate or dictate terms for you,” the General said.
