A night they will never forget

Everything they could have imagined to make the night a memorable one came together in a beautiful setting on a hot summer's night.

For matriculants the most important part of their final year comes down to how well they do in their final exams. Following in a close second place would be their matric farewell.

Unfortunately there are schools that just cannot afford to treat their matrics to the farewell they deserve.
But then someone like Chloe Smith and her mother, Lea, come along. Chloe, a learner from Trinityhouse, decided to do something about it and approached Brenda Dooge from Glenburn Lodge to help give the 2019 matric class of Matla Combined School in Muldersdrift a night they would never forget.

Soon after Chloe and Brenda had put their heads together, the donations started coming in.

With Glenburn Lodge & Spa providing the venue and food, Melody Barber of Bella Ame Décor & Events as well as Be Different Brand Builders helping with the décor, together with the team of Williams Hunt Roodepoort providing the transport at the venue and Cream Cheese DJ taking care of the entertainment, the News team present as the ‘paparazzi’ and Sir Juice providing the welcome drinks and juice on the tables, it was an incredible night.

The school also chose to honour its best learners on the night and praised them for being an inspiration.
“It is a wonderful night with everyone looking exceptionally beautiful. I almost did not recognise some of you. Well done, Class of 2019!” Ms Mbatha of the school said.
