Two airlifted after Orient Hills crash
Two men were critically injured in an accident at Orient Hills recently and had to be airlifted.
Two Netcare 911 helicopters were recently called to collect critically injured patients following an accident in Orient Hills, Magaliesburg.
According to a statement from Netcare 911’s Media Liaison Officer, Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to reports of a serious collision on the R24 Rustenburg Road in Orient Hills at 2.45 pm on Thursday, 16 January.

“Reports from the scene indicate that two light delivery vehicles were involved in a head-on collision,” Herbst said.
When medics assessed the scene they found two men had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise them.

Because of the severity of their injuries, the Netcare 7 and Netcare 8 specialised helicopter ambulances were called to airlift the patients to specialised care facilities.
Two other patients were also assessed and found to have moderate injuries. Herbst said in the statement that they were treated on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
“All necessary authorities were on scene.”
