Join a nature walk and help save the Kloof
The Kenmare Kloof Conservation Association will be hosting another nature walk and also a market day on the first weekend of February. Get the family together and join them.
If you are looking for something fun to do with the whole family, why not get out of the house, get some exercise and help the environment while you are at it too?
The Kenmare Kloof Conservation Association created the perfect opportunity for all of this. Join them on their next Kloof Walk and Save the Kloof Market Day.

On Saturday, 1 February they will be hosting the Kloof Walk through the beautiful kloof with water so clean you can drink it from the river. But don’t just bring your hiking shoes, bring your wallets as well, as there will be plenty of food and craft stalls to shop from.
The next day they will also have their usual Kloof walk.
Charlotta Steyn from the association said that it is a short 2km hike to the waterfall and then 2km back. They will be picking up litter and removing some unwanted plants along the day.

The walk will start at 9am and only costs R20 per person. For children under 12 it is free. Apart from booking in advance you also have to remember your walking shoes, hat, sunblock (in case you want to swim) and a bag for any rubbish.
Funds raised at these events are used to pay the Kloof’s game ranger, remove the destructive wattle trees, remove snares and protect the Kloof’s fauna, flora and wildlife.
Entrance is at the Kloof lapa, and the entry gate is at 1 Kwartel Street, Noordheuwel. To book or to find out how you can help, phone Hanno on 076 475 1249 or Charlotta on 083 845 6466.
