Voortrekker Road motorcycle crash claims another life
A man believed to be in his 30s lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this afternoon.
A tragic accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Voortrekker Road near the Anthos Shopping Centre (Monument Checkers) today (4 February).
It is believed that the man’s motorcycle collided with a bakkie which resulted in the biker being thrown against a tree.
A statement sent by ER24’s Russel Meiring said their paramedics were called to the scene at 1.50pm, when they arrived there they found the motorbike on the side of the road.

A man believed to be in his 30s was found on the centre median lying next to a tree.
“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead,” read the statement.
Although the details about the accident are not clear yet, local authorities were on scene to investigate.
