CCCO needs help to help others

Cross Connect Community Outreach is in dire need of additional transport just to get their, clothes and other donations to those in their care.

Cross Connect Community Outreach (CCCO) is touching thousands of lives on the West Rand every month.

They’ve been growing from strength to strength and have reached a point where they’re supporting more families, school children and projects than their capacity may always allow. Somehow they end up ahead every month and make it work.

For a while now they’ve been facing one challenge – delivering everything to those in their care. They buy about R20 000 worth of food every month (in addition to everything else they donate) and deliver it with CCCO founder Kyle Tolman’s sedan, a Toyota Corolla.

Just getting everything into the car is already challenging, and then it needs to be delivered. Transporting their many workers has also become a problem.

Whenever they need to haul around larger objects, they have to hire a bakkie, which just isn’t financially or logistically sustainable.

The CCCO is hoping that someone will help them with a bakkie, either by donating money or by donating a bakkie.

“Maybe a dealership can help us out as part of their corporate social investment initiative to give back to the community. We can market the dealership on the bakkie as much as they want,” Kyle said, adding that they can provide an 18A certificate for tax exemption.
