Speeding cameras across town a safety precaution

The operation will continue throughout the year.

Mogale City Local Municipality (MCLM), under the stewardship of the Municipal Manager, Pringle Raedani, would like to inform the community of Mogale City and beyond about the speed camera operation, which forms part of the municipality’s law-enforcement operations.

Due to the operation being approved by the Gauteng Director of Public Prosecution, the MCLM saw the need to formally and officially inform the entire community that speeding cameras are being erected around town.

The operation kicked off on 11 February. Its purpose should not be seen as punishing motorists, but merely to help save lives by reducing the number of road fatalities that are on the increase, to allow traffic to flow freely, and prevent accidents at all costs.

The operation will continue throughout the year and is under the supervision of the Mogale City Public Safety Department.
