A picnic dinner without the Valentine’s feel was hosted by Two Balloons and a Van on 12 February at Infinity Tea Garden.
The idea was to have a place where people would feel included, without the pressure of Valentine’s Day. It was aimed at bringing all types of relationships and people to one place, celebrating one thing – appreciation for one another.

Natasha Niemand, who is the owner of Two Balloons and a Van Events, said she wanted a place where people could have fun.
“My biggest thing is to celebrate life, the little things that matter, like having a nice drink and a great conversation. We are so busy with our lives that we forget to acknowledge the important things. So we wanted to have a dinner to break away from the hustle and bustle, and celebrate the people we appreciate,” Natasha told the News.

Those in a relationship, married and even single were there to have fun and take time out of their busy lives on a Wednesday evening to enjoy themselves. Young couple Bruce and Cha-Mari Allen said they usually buy each other gifts for Valentine’s and this year they thought they should celebrate their love for each other away from the children.
The night was filled with amazing food, drinks and great company. Single people also enjoyed themselves – friendship being the common factor at their table where laughter was present. Karien Vunderink who invited her three friends said it was an amazing and really intimate setting.

“I love the food here, the setting is really nice and it’s a great place to enjoy in the company of my friends,” said Karien.
Natasha said she was really happy with the turn-out. It was intimate and beautiful.
