Free music festival to raise funds for baby Gabby

If you and your family want to do some good and have fun on 14 March, why not visit the free music charity event hosted to raise funds for baby Gabby?

Little Gabby Robertson lives with a condition called biliary atresia that can cause her body to reject her liver at any time.

Almost a year ago the then 11-month old Gabby had to get a liver transplant within 12 hours. Her sister, Samantha Jonker donated a part of her liver to save Gabby’s life.

The operation was successful and both girls recovered, but unfortunately the past year has not been smooth sailing for Gabby, who is now a little over two years old. She has been in hospital a few times and is still not one hundred per cent healthy.

To raise funds for Gabby and everything she needs and will need in future, a music charity event will be hosted. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy it.

“Gabby is a warrior and a hero; let’s show her that we all think so!” read a post on Gabby’s Journey with Billary Artresia Facebook page.

The event will take place on 14 March from 9am at the SA Lifestyle Centre (the old West Rand Pet and Bird Farm) at 47 Albertina Sisulu Road in Princess, Roodepoort.

It will be a fun-filled day for the whole family, with kids activities, 25 artists performing and lots of stalls and food available.

There will be jumping castles, peddle cars, rugby on the big screen TV and a vintage car show.

All proceeds will be donated to the baby Gabby fund.

For more information, visit Gabby’s Facebook page or contact Elzana on 079 548 6258 for information about the stalls.
