Happy Feet little ones learn about fire safety from Joburg Fire

City of Johannesburg's Fire Department recently visited Happy Feet in Krugersdorp to teach the learners about fire safety.

It’s important to start learning about fire safety from as young an age as possible.

Recently the City of Johannesburg EMS Fire Department arrived with sirens blazing to surprise the little ones at the Happy Feet Nursery School.

None of the children knew what was waiting for them when they were led outside, but smiles immediately formed on their faces when they saw the men and women dressed in blue, standing out against the bright red of the shining fire truck behind them.

In between learning about safety, some kids received the chance to put on firefighters’ helmets far too big for their little heads, while others tried their best to stand upright while wearing the over-sized and heavy fire-resistant jackets. But all of this was a lot of fun for the preschoolers, especially when the truck’s doors swung open and they could scamper inside with sirens ringing loudly throughout.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
