Krugersdorp homeless to report to Christian Life Savers for help during lockdown

The homeless residents of Krugersdorp are being asked to report to the Christian Life Savers foundation. From there they will be moved to community halls for the 21-day lockdown.

The Christian Lifesaver Foundation has released a progress report on the efforts to remove the homeless community members of Krugersdorp from the streets and placing them in lockdown facilities.

JJ van Niekerk from the organisation confirmed to the News that the first 31 homeless men have already been transported to a facility in Magaliesburg while the women will be taken to Luipaardsvlei.

All homeless residents must report to the Christian Life Savers centre, previously known as Grace House at 59 Kobie Krige Street.

He also said that they are desperately in need of blankets, mattresses and food to look after the residents. You can contact JJ on 072 312 9111 if you can help.
