The drivers allegedly could not show permits to transport the alcohol, as any delivery or transportation of alcohol during lockdown is prohibited.
Police arrested the two drivers, and the trucks and their cargo were confiscated and impounded.
The trucks are believed to be from South African Breweries AB InBev, and according to Facebook comments the drivers were transporting the stock to another warehouse, but failed to wait for permits.
The post says the stock amounts to R28 million worth of alcoholic beverages.
The News has approached AB InBev for comment, but none has been forthcoming so far.
