Just before midday on Monday, 13 April, four men aged between 22 to 26 entered and allegedly robbed a store in Munsieville.
“A 27-year-old male and his colleagues became victims of a business robbery in one of the shops on Mohala Street, Munsieville when four unknown men entered the shop. Two were armed with firearms. They robbed the victims of their cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash, and left the scene,” a communique from the office of the Krugersdorp Police station commander, Brigadier Ngwako Mashoa read.

At about 12.40pm, the police, with help from community members and security officers, arrested the men for business robbery, possession of suspected stolen goods, and possession of an unlicensed gun and ammunition.

“Mashoa applauded and commended the members for their swift response. He also thanked the community and the security officers who worked with the police to ensure that the perpetrators were brought to book.
“Business owners are warned to be alert at all times as there are some people who will take advantage of the lockdown,” read the media statement.
The suspects will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
