Elderly man critically injured in Magalies crash

At about noon on Monday, 11 May, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Rustenburg Road in Magaliesburg.

Reports from the scene indicated that a bakkie and a truck were involved in a collision.

Medics assessed the scene and found that an elderly man had sustained critical injuries and required advanced life support interventions to stabilise him.

Due to the nature of his injuries, a Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the man to hospital for further treatment.

Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
