Tshepisong has been affected by a spate of house robberies

A victim of a house robbery in Tshepisong sustained a gunshot wound after four unknown intruders gained entry to his residence by kicking open the door.

The incident took place on 20 May at about 10.30pm while a couple was asleep in their home.According to a statement by Kagiso Police, the four thugs allegedly forced their way into the couple’s home and demanded cash at gunpoint.

The one with the firearm shot the man in his leg. They took an undisclosed amount of money, clothes, six pairs of shoes and two cellphones belonging to the couple.

Tshepisong has been affected by a spate of house robberies, and Kagiso Police believe that members of the public can assist with information that can positively link perpetrators to the crimes.

“We are therefore appealing to anyone with information to come forward or call the Kagiso Police on 011 696 9000/ 9095/ 9065/ 9067, or the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111. You can also use the SMS crime line 32211 and remain anonymous,” their statement read.
