Local heroes need your help

Requests to sanitize these places are coming in fast, and most of these institutions have not had an income in the last seven weeks

Mogale Response Services, together with the local police, fire department, Disaster Management and Public Safety have been sanitizing public spaces, service stations and even schools every week for the past seven weeks.

They have visited areas in Magaliesburg and Tarlton, while also offering assistance in Kagiso and Munsieville. But sometimes our local heroes also need a helping hand.

Requests to sanitize these places are coming in fast, and most of these institutions have not had an income in the last seven weeks. Many in the greater Mogale area will be returning to their workplace within the next couple of weeks, and share spaces with their colleagues and customers living outside of the community, which will increase the risk of infection.

As a result, a number of companies in the Krugersdorp area have submitted requests for their entrances and work zones to be sanitized.Sanitizing that has already been done might have prevented you from contracting Covid-19, without you being aware of what our local heroes have done and continue to do every day. They have been working many hours and late at night away from their families, while we are in the comfort and safety of our homes.

The sanitizing team uses three vehicles with firefighting trailers, and have travelled more than 8 500km over the last few weeks to keep us as safe as possible, and to minimise the spread of the virus in our community.

How do you help? For these brave men and women to continue the incredible work they are doing, you can contribute towards their fuel costs.
