Good work and coordination between the Muldersdrift Police and the SMS Security Company led to the arrest of three suspects, age between 21 and 25, following an armed robbery on 20 May. A firearm was also recovered.
One suspect is still at large, and Muldersdrift Police are appealing to the community to assist with information that could lead to the fourth suspect’s arrest.
Police advised pedestrians to be vigilant and observant, especially on secluded roads, and to be aware of their surroundings and walk in pairs. Most robbers are notoriously known for pouncing on unsuspecting pedestrians. In some cases they even offer their victims a lift to their destination, but rob them instead.
The Muldersdrift Police station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mankontsho Setlhare applauded the members for the arrests and sternly warned criminals that no crime will be left unpunished.
Anyone with relevant information must call Muldersdrift Police Station immediately on 011 952 4600/ 4642, or contact the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111, or communicate via the My SAPS app, or the SMS line 32211 to remain anonymous.
