Mogale City now has 780 confirmed cases of Covid-19

A total number of 1 045 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.

The Gauteng Department of Health has reported that the West Rand has 1 758 confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of 24 June with 540 recoveries.

Mogale City accounts for 780 of these cases with 147 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed cases in Gauteng is 26 156 with 6 623 recoveries and 147 deaths.

Out of a total of 24 905 contacts traced within the province, 16 527 people have completed the 14-day monitoring period with no symptoms and have now been de-isolated.

The breakdown per district is as follows:

Johannesburg:

  • 12 892 positive cases
  • 930 new cases
  • 80 deaths
  • 3 670 recoveries

Ekurhuleni:

  • 5 377 positive cases
  • 520 new cases
  • 32 deaths
  • 1 335 recoveries

Tshwane:

  • 4 059 positive cases
  • 399 new cases
  • 17 deaths
  • 972 recoveries

Sedibeng:

  • 861 positive cases
  • 57 new case
  • 10 deaths
  • 110 recoveries

West Rand:

  • 1 758 positive cases
  • 117 new cases
  • 8 deaths
  • 540 recoveries

Unallocated cases within the district:

  • 1 209 positive cases
  • 85 new cases
