Four die in various accidents across Krugersdorp this past weekend
The police as well as the Traffic Police were on the scene for further investigations.
Saturday, 27 June, was an unfortunate day for four people who lost their lives in two separate incidents in Krugersdorp.
According to statements sent by ER24’s spokesperson, Ross Campbell, a 30-year-old man died and his co-worker suffered critical injuries following an industrial incident at a tanker truck company in Factoria, on Saturday morning.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 9.45am to find the two men on the ground in front of the tanker they were supposedly working on. Advanced Life Support interventions were used to try and stabilise the critical 30-year-old, but unfortunately, his injuries were too severe and he died on the scene. The second man, also believed to be in his 30s, had suffered multiple fractures and also required Advanced Life Support interventions while being transported to Leratong Hospital for further treatment,” his statement read.The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown to ER24, but the local police were on scene for further investigation.
Then on Saturday evening, three people died following a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles, one of which flipped and burst into flames. The incident happened on Windsor Road. The three who died were occupants of the vehicle that burnt. The driver of the second vehicle, a 39-year-old man, was pulled from his car by bystanders before it too caught fire.”ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.35pm along with the Krugersdorp Fire Department. Nothing could be done for the three who were burnt beyond recognition and they were declared dead on scene. The man who survived was found to have suffered moderate injuries and was treated and transported with an Advanced Life Support paramedic in another private services’ ambulance to Leratong Hospital for further care.
