Young boy raped on his way home

Kagiso Police are asking for the community’s help in finding two rapists.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, Kagiso Police spokesperson said they are searching for two men driving a white Toyota Corolla after a learner was attacked and raped in an open field.

The victim told the police he was walking alone next to Chief Mogale Hall on his way home at about 4.20pm on Tuesday, 30 June.

He noticed that a white Toyota Corolla without a number plate was following him. The passenger then got out of the vehicle and charged at the victim, before forcing him into the back seat of the car.

The victim was then forced to perform indecent sexual acts at gunpoint. The attackers drove to an open space next to a stream and raped the victim.

The boy was ordered to wash himself in the stream and put on his school uniform before the attackers dropped him off at a nearby substation and drove off.

Brigadier Themba Maduna, the Kagiso Police station commander warned all women and children saying, “We want to appeal to all our learners, be it a girl or a boy child, and everyone including women and children of all ages never to walk alone. Criminals always prey on unsuspecting people who are walking alone.”
