Man wanted for raping school girl

Local police release ID kit of man wanted in a rape case involving a school girl.

Kagiso Police are calling on the community to assist them in identifying and apprehending a man who is wanted for the rape of a school girl.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, the Kagiso Police spokesperson said the incident occurred in February this year while the victim was walking home from school.

She was walking past the Tshepisong clinic when she noticed a man following her close by. She tried to run away but tripped and fell.

“He grabbed her and took her to his house where he bound her hands and feet and then raped her,” he said in a statement.

Captain Sibiya also gave a detailed description of the suspect, saying he has a dark complexion, is aged between 35 and 50, approximately 1,5 metres tall and chubby. He has a tattoo on his right arm and was wearing a blue shirt with multi-coloured stripes, black jeans and black takkies.

“Anyone who recognises him can contact the police on 011 696 9000, 011 696 9059, or 011 696 9065. The public can also call their nearest police station, use the my SAPS app or make use of the Crime Stop Number on 08600 10111.”
