Help by sponsoring soup for empty tummies

Until Sunday, 12 July the combo is being sold for the special price of R65 and can be bought on the website.

With the icy cold weather on its way back the Cradle of Hope is asking the community to help them buy 300 soup combos so they can feed the hungry.

These pre-cooked frozen soup combos will be distributed to hungry adults and children.

Melodie van Brakel, founder of the foundation said, “Hungry adults and children flock to our House of Restoration every day, seeking some warmth. For many it is their only meal of the day.”

The Cradle of Hope is a non-profit organisation that assists women and children in desperate need. They believe in a hand-up rather than a handout, and feed close to 1 000 people at their House of Restoration every day. In a Facebook post, Melodie explained that people start queuing at 10am already just to be able to get some food when it is handed out at noon.
