A man died while trying to disconnect illegal electricity connections.

An adult man was electrocuted to death while trying to disconnect illegal connections at a construction site off the N14 in Krugersdorp on Monday afternoon, 3 August.

Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 spokesperson said at about 5.20pm, they responded to reports of an electrocution at a construction site near a mall in the area.

“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male working at the construction site had been electrocuted while trying to disconnect illegal connections.

Medics assessed the patient and found that he showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased.”
